Course Open
Seniors

I hope you are reading this because you are interested in joining the Seniors Section at Lewes Golf Club. If you are, let me assure you that you will receive a very warm welcome.

The club has had a Seniors Section since 1988.  It is called the LOGS (Lewes Old Golfers Section), a name that has stuck in the Club culture, although our members seem to be getting younger and not older!

We organise a wide range of activities for our Senior members - 30 inter-club matches, an Annual Championship, an Annual Invitation event, a summer long Eclectic, Knock-out Competitions, a Christmas Competition, matches with the Ladies, Away Days, regular stableford competitions, participation in the Sussex Winter League and the SCGU Cyril Blake/Gilbert Print competition and, most importantly of all, we organise a Club Roll Up throughout the year on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Every Tuesday and Thursday, we meet at around 9.30 hours for a cup of coffee and a chat, about everything that Seniors worldwide like to talk about!  We draw for playing partners at 10.15 and start at 10.30 hours (when the Club has generously allocated us a one hour tee-off slot).

Lewes has a number of advantages, particularly for Senior players for whom golf is 'a way of life'. You can play throughout the year without buggy or trolley bans and not end up covered in mud. The course is rarely closed (usually only in snow or thick fog) and there are no temporary green or tee mats. This is all due to the superb draining chalk soil.

So, if you are looking for friendly, competitive golf on a well established  (111 year old) course with outstanding views, come and join us.
