            The 10th

Pro Tips

The 10th hole at Lewes Golf Club, despite being the shortest par 4 on the course at just 317 yards from the back tee, presents a significant challenge. The entire hole plays uphill, demanding a second shot that must be pitched directly onto the green. Any approach landing short is likely to remain there, leaving a difficult subsequent shot. The two-tiered nature of the green adds another layer of complexity, with pin position dramatically affecting play; it's advisable to note the pin's location as you pass the green on the 9th hole.

The Combe

Along the right-hand side of the 10th fairway is a wonderful view of the Combe, a very steep valley cut into the hillside. The left-hand side is known as Fat-Bellied woman locally and also as Witches Hill. Over the years unexplained lights have been seen on the hill at night and in 2014 a ritualistic site with placed bones and chalk symbols was found in a clearing of a copse.
